PlanetNet.org is a free service offered to those "I" know. Current the server located in Billings, MT offering
webpages, DNS hosting, email, spam prevention, virus prevention and shell
access to it's users. The server runs Linux
on 3.0Ghz Intel CPU, 1.75GB of RAM, 2 x 500GB Hard drives in a RAID 1 configuration. I have a
photo located here of physical
hardware. PlanetNet.org
has two offsite backup mail servers, and one offsite DNS
server, besides it's own. PlanetNet.org has over 40 minutes of uninterruptible power via a rack mount UPS in case of power failure. Internet feed is supplied by Bresnan Communications over a High speed Cable
Modem. PlanetNet.org was established on March 16th 1999.
