Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-GF1 is a compact camera with a DSLR-sized sensor and removeable lenses. Announced in September 2009, it’s the third Lumix G model from Panasonic, following the G1 and GH1, with all three based on the recent Micro Four Thirds standard.
Micro Four Thirds was jointly developed by Olympus and Panasonic to target people who want the flexibility and quality of camera with a large sensor and interchangeable lenses, but who’ve been put-off by the size and weight of traditional DSLRs along with their perception of difficult operation.

I had been thinking about getting this lens for a long time but held off due to the price. However, I finally decided to make the purchase as a splurge for myself. I am glad I made this decision.
As with Olympus DSLR products in general, this lens is well constructed. It is a bit on the heavy side but that’s to be expected given the amount of glass in it. In general, I bought this lens in anticipation of those family shots where everyone is sitting around the dinner table. This lens allows you to get close to everyone and to have them all in the picture without the distortion of a fisheye lens.
Which of these digital cameras would you recommend for macro photography?
I'm an aspiring beginner in macro photography, looking for my first digital camera... I'm also looking for good continuous shooting capabilities (burst mode)... Which of these do you think will be the most appropriate camera for me?
If you want good quality macro photos then your best bet is a DSLR and a macro lens. Something like the Canon Rebels or the Nikon D40 or D60 would be good choices. You really can't get true 1:1 magnification on a point and shoot.

Whats the difference between 14-45mm and 20mm lens?
Im planning to get one of new Panasonic Lumix GF1, but confuse about the lens? Which lens is better for taking landscape view or view in football match? I prefer 20mm lens actually since its small and mobile.
Those Four Thirds cameras have smaller sensors, so the field of view is smaller than on other SLRs for the same focal-length lenses.
A 20mm lens for you gives the view equivalent of 40mm lens on a 35mm camera, which gives you about 48.

Traditionally, fixed lenses (not zoom), have fewer elements and thus you can ge a clearer picture.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 reviews
still, it can support the electronic viewfinder accessory originally designed for the larger Panasonic GF1, and it can certainly fire a Panasonic or Olympus flash directly or via a hot shoe adapter. The predecessor to the Panasonic LX5 -- the 2008 model year Lumix LX3 -- was a huge success both in the enthusiast camera market in general, and with Imaging Resource readers in particular. The Panasonic LX5's Flash-open lever moves to the right to release the pop-up flash. It has a hot shoe, though the Panasonic LX5 is unlikely to carry any but a small flash. The Panasonic LX5 reminds us of a rangefinder, but one built to modern standards--and without an optical viewfinder. 1 megapixels), and the improvements promise to make the Panasonic LX5 even more popular than its predecessor....

Lumix Digital Camera Review
The Lumix DMC-LX5 developed by Panasonic narrowed the gap between high end quality camera and simple point and shoot cameras, thereby becomes popular as a "bridge camera". What really drew me to the Panasonic Lumix LX5 was how it had so many different features that I can use. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 10. This is one of many Lumix reviews you can read to get an idea of the quality of this camera. I am an avid participant in the recent "lomo" craze, which for those not in the know is a throwback to the days of film cameras where slide films could produce unpredictable and exciting results. 0-Inch LCD and in black, or white is the perfect camera for casual photography enthusiasts like me who enjoy the thrill of composing high quality photos but don't want the bulky baggage of a DSLR....

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS70S 7MP Digital Camera with 3x Image Stabilized Zoom Review
5 MP it takes under 800 pictures, files are about 2 MB each so the 27 mb internal memory woulld barely allow me to take 13 pictures, less in 3:2 mode and even less on 4:3 7. With 2 GB with the Widescreen at 5. The only two things I don't like is the LCD screen which is bigger than the ones in my previos 2 cameras, is exposed to being touched, so you have to keep cleaning it if you don't want your finger prints on it. The battery life seems shorter than... I'd recommend as with all digital cameras to get rechargable batteries as well as at least a 1 GB memory card.

Panasonic Lumix FZ150 Handheld, Low-Light Test (Vs Nokia N8, Canon S2IS)
I’m also interested in telephoto shots at on-stage press events and various types of video but for my first Panasonic Lumix Z150 test I wanted to see how much better it was than my old (5 year old) Canon S2IS 5MP bridge camera. The other two devices used were the Canon S2IS and my Nokia N8 which has a larger sensor than both of the bridge cameras. To help make the images easy to compare I set the ISO at 400 and took the images at about 15 cm, the distance at which the multimeter was full-frame in the non-zoom Nokia N8. In this test I took a large number of shots of a multimeter (showing a LUX reading of around 95 from a big 30W daylight-temperature CFL energy-saving bulb 2M away) and chose the best pictures to analyse. All my Lumix FZ150 posts are shown together here. This low-light handheld test is important for me as it’s one of my most-used scenarios....
