TGWK's Review – Generic Brand Leather Case for the Sony NEX-5 ...
As you know, I just recently purchased a Sony NEX-5N in order to take more pictures of my kids and all our experiences with them. When compared to a DSLR however, the Sony NEX-5N is just too pretty to let get scuffed up so I had decided to buy a case for it. Sony sells a leather 2-piece case for the the camera, but it retails for around $90 when purchasing both pieces. This was way more than I was willing to spend on a case so I did a quick search on Amazon and came across several similarly looking cases to the official Sony case. These obviously are no-named products and are sold mostly by third party vendors on Amazon. The look fairly close to the way the Sony case looks, except that the price is way more affordable at around $25 for both pieces.
Sony SLT-A65 and SLT-A77 are sister models and offer more than what you probably bargained for. This is the reason perhaps, that inspite of the lukewarm response in the beginning, SLT-A65 managed to create a long term impact in the market. These sister devices were released together and the higher end A77 was offered as a replacement to the much in demand A700.

My decision to purchase this stand was based on the unanimous great reviews from the strobist blog. I have used it primarily for indoor shoots at home and have found it extremely reliable and sturdy. Somehow, it did not fare well outdoors (falling down a couple of times, thankfully no casualties..) with the Vivitar 285 and the 43″ westcott umbrella on top of it. You may have to buy some sandbags to weight it outdoors. The stands extends very smoothly and feel very professionally made even though it is light.
